⭐ Mission, Vision, Purpose:
This is a combined clinical and research Center housed out of the Clinical Genetics Section at the Alberta Children's Hospital, the Department of Medical Genetics and Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute , Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary.
The main purposes include:
Ensuring a timely molecular diagnosis to Albertans with ReNU syndrome (and related disorders)
Serving as a source of information and support for Canadian patients and families with ReNU syndrome and related disorders (until the establishment of or in collaboration with other Canadian Centers of Excellence)
Contributing to and applying best practices as it relates to clinical care guidelines for ReNU syndrome
Participating in the development of new knowledge through research initiatives
Establishing a registry of patients in Alberta (and potentially elsewhere in Canada) with ReNU syndrome to facilitate future clinical trials
